aha! After setting the disk cache to 1024MB (gosh didn't see your annotation text below in the settings pane) PM6+ the Metadata were done in a few seconds and the other tasks seem to run faster, too. Maybe a warning like "don't set your cache higher than..." would be necessary?!
By now I also see that folder - so it probably git stuck in the oabove mentioned digestion processes.
