Shortcut keys for opening contact sheets?
« on: May 04, 2007, 12:55:12 PM »
Running PMSetup4.5.1b0503.exe on a Windows XP system:

In the new Navigator, these seem to be the shortcut keys for the items in the context menu:
--------------------------------------------
(None?)      New folder inside this folder
(None?)      Add to favorites
Enter         Reveal in Windows Explorer

Click          Open in new contact sheet
Shift-Click  Open in current contact sheet
(None?)     Open folder and subfolders in new contact sheet
(None?)     Open folder and subfolders replacing contact sheet

F2             Rename
Del            Delete
Alt-Enter    Properties

F5             Refresh
--------------------------------------------

Are there shortcut keys for "Open folders and subfolders..."? If not, is it possible to add shortcut/modifier keys (perhaps Alt-Click and Alt-Shift-Click, or Ctrl-Click and Ctrl-Shift-Click)?

Also, can the defined shortcuts be added on the right side of the context menu as in the main menus?

Thanks.

Jim,

(None?)     Open folder and subfolders in new contact sheet

--------------------------------------------

The ones you have indicated with (None?) really do have none.  What keyboard shortcuts do you suggest?

I'm not big on Alt since it often makes the menu bar get focus unintentionally.  The Ctrl key is much less modal.  Let's go with the Ctrl key combos.

Yes, I will add them.

For "New Folder" how about Ctrl-Shift-N (compatible with Adobe LR and Bridge, and corresponds to OS X New Folder shortcut)
For "Add to Favorites" how about  Ctrl-Shift-T (corresponds to OS X shortcut)
And the Ctrl-key combos you mentioned for the "Open Folder and Subfolders..."

Thanks
