Changing a drive
« on: January 02, 2023, 11:11:41 AM »
Hi, happy new year for all
I am working on MacOS Catalina and Photo Mechanic Plus Version 6.0, build 6552 (1b31032).
I have an external drive from where I create my collection. Now I want to switch to another drive with the same folder, without losting collections. The second drive contain a clone folder of the first one, but PM dont recognize because of the volume name, that is different.
Please, how can connect Existing Collections to the new drive without changing the name of the volume?
Thank you for helping, Leo

I just created a catalog, scanned a folder on an external drive, and then copied that folder to a different drive using Finder. Then I opened Photo Mechanic, went to the Browse tab, and then right-click on the folder that I copied and clicked 'Update Folder Location' and found the folder in the new location, and that worked for me for Photo Mechanic to see the files in the new location.
