Error while launching Photoshop

Hey all,

I've just run into an error while launching multiple photos from my contact sheet into Photoshop. I get the below error and the images do not load. I can open the photos from Photoshop and they open fine, but it's much slower and time-consuming than straight from PM.

"Error: couldn't start application or it is launching slowly."

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder/Windows Explorer window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

Your log file indicates that Photo Mechanic is trying to launch the application at the following location:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2021\Photoshop.exe

Are you running Photoshop 2021? Or did it get updated to a more recent version and change the path to the application? If you set the location of Photoshop again in your Launching Preferences, does it fix the problem?

The link has been updated to the newest update 2023 Photoshop file and it's still giving me the error. I was hopeful that was going to be the fix!

Can you post a new log file? We'd like to know if you are getting the same error in the log.
