How to avoid seeing XMP files in contact sheet?
« on: January 24, 2023, 10:28:17 PM »
Hi,

I have XMP files and some other files show up in my folders.  I vaguely remember seeing a tip on how to make PM not display
them on the contact sheet.  TIA.

On a Mac, it's on the View menu, deselect "Unknown files as Proxies" and they should disappear from the contact sheet.  I assume it's on the same menu in Windows but I don't have a copy to check.

Thanks, Roger.  Would never have guess that when I looked through the menu bar.

Thanks, Roger.  Would never have guess that when I looked through the menu bar.

Note: if you have XMP files showing up in your contact sheets when viewing unknown files as proxies, this is an indicator that the XMP files have become orphaned (the file they should match up with has been moved/renamed/deleted) so you may want to investigate.
