Do your photos already have an XMP label value?  If not, they will evaluate to a blank string which will create no folder.

Hi Oryk,

Interesting, I am unable to reproduce this problem. Any file that does have an XMP label gets put into a corresponding folder during Live Ingest for me. Could you share a file where you were experiencing this issue?

What Version and Build of Photo Mechanic are you using?

Maybe PM clears the IPTC-label-field if I check 'Apply Metadata (IPTC) Template To Photos'?

If I uncheck this, all works fine.

Does your Metadata (IPTC) Template set a color label (clear it)?  If so, you could turn off the Apply checkbox for that field and then you should be able to apply the rest of the template during the Live Ingest.

The template is applied first. If you use {filename} or {filenamebase} in the Metadata Template, you'll get the original filename.
