Slideshow won't start but freeze on iMac

Hello, on my iMac iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) MacOs 11.7.5 the slideshow does not start, just freezes on a black window, which appears to be in front of the main window. i can only force quit PM Version 6.0, build 6784 (409cf99). I have read a similar topic published one year ago but it was not helpful to me (http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=14906.msg73394#msg73394)
The slideshow works fine on a 2018 retina MacBook with both the same operating system and PM version,
Any suggestions?
