Photo Mechanic 6 not finding GPSBabel
« on: April 23, 2023, 08:18:12 AM »
Hello,

I am a new Photo Mechanic 6 user; I am having a problem when I try to add GPS coordinates; PM 6 is not recognizing that GPSBabel is already installed; it continues to prompt me if I want to download and install it.

I am running Windows 10 Professional with all the latest updates and GPSBabel 1.8.0, downloaded today from their website. I restarted the computer, and I can run GPSBabel manually. PM 6 build 6784 is installed.

I searched through the forum but found no posts mentioning this issue.

Any ideas about what I am missing?

Thank you,
Mike.
Mike.

Click "yes" on the prompt to download it. A window of your default web browser will open. Ignore this and go back to Photo Mechanic. You will be given a prompt that says "Have you downloaded and installed GPSBabel? If you answer yes, you'll be prompted to find and choose your installed GPSBabel application" Click yes and file picker window will open where you can choose the location of where GPSBabel was installed.
