I'm trying to follow the instructions here, and it works fairly well.

The only issue I'm seeing so far in my tests is my keywords are coming in wrapped in quotes.

There are no quotes in the file when it is open in Excel, but after I save it out, I can see them in the text file. Any ideas why or suggestions to fix?

I don't use Excel, so I am not sure but it seems like it may be an Excel issue that I hadn't previously been aware of.  A Google search found lots of reports of this, with various (annoying) workarounds.

Here is one such account, though without Excel I can't confirm how well it works:

In PM, you can do a Find-Replace on the Keywords field to get rid of quotes. That's how I'd probably handle this.

I will put a note in the description of that YouTube video mentioning the issue.

Doing a quick Find/Replace on the keywords field after import is easy enough. I can't think of a case where quotation marks should be in a keyword. :)

Thanks Mick!

Hi Brian,

Excel will always add surrounding double quotes to any field with commas or semi colons. The easiest solution to save a text file without the double quotes is to select all in Excel and then drag the selection into NotePad, BBEdit or your favorite text editor and then save the text file. You can also copy from Excel and paste into the Text Editor.  This was mentioned by Stevo Vasiljevic at the end of the fotoware article from the link above.

Best regards,
