How to retain 'Date Modified' when file is copied or moved by PM?

When I use PM tools to copy or move a file to a new location on my computer, the file gets a new 'Date Modified" value. I prefer the file retain the existing Date Modified as if I had simply moved the file using the computer's UI. Is this possible?
