Rename folder in PM+
« on: August 13, 2023, 11:06:28 AM »
I am using PM+ build 6784 on Mac OS Monterey v 12.5 (21G72)

I have seen in the forum reference to being able to right click on a folder in the folder path and change the name of the folder. When I right click on a folder in the folder path, I get the following options:

- Update folder location
- Remove folder
- Include this folder when scanning to catalogue
- Exclude this folder when scanning to catalogue

How do I activate the ability to rename a folder? I have spent days creating a catalogue but need to rename the top level folder and desperately want to avoid having to rebuild the whole thing again simply because I need to rename it.

Thanks so much,

David

I believe my problem has been solved. It seems that by simply renaming the folder on my hard drive and then selecting "Update Folder Location" the catalogue has renamed the folder. It just took a long time so I thought nothing had happened.

For anyone that comes across this with the same issue, the following support article has more information on updating a folder location in a catalog: https://docs.camerabits.com/support/solutions/articles/48001164434-updating-the-catalog-location-of-externally-moved-folders
