« on: September 28, 2023, 09:57:45 AM »
Hi All,

How do I view all the EXIF data from an image? For example shutter count and other specific data that isnt displayed in the screen grabs below.

You can change the content of those information panels by going to Edit -> Settings -> Set Info text. You can use variables to expose any of the information that they are able to pull. The {act} variable is the one that will show you shutter count (we tested it on a file from a Z9 and it was able to pull that information, but that information is not always available from every camera/manufacturer, and not all EXIF information is able to be read by Photo Mechanic).

There's a useful Mac app using Exiftool (so you need to have it installed) that generates a text file of the metadata in the same location for most (all?) files. Just drop a file onto the icon or double click it & choose the file. I've attached a copy but apologies to the author as I can't recall who to credit.
