Do other things while exporting

Any chance that we will ever be able to do other things while saving photos?  I have a short cut that saves photos in a smaller size to a different folder.  until that is done, I can not do anything else, which is a real bottle neck in my workflow.

Yes to that!
I know its been discussed before, that's it's some limitation under the hood that works different for saving operations.
But maybe it could be limited to a tab/contact sheet its working on, so that we could work in other tab while some saving is at work?
