Very bad performance
« on: January 14, 2024, 12:45:13 PM »
I use a Lenovo with 32 GB of DDR5 and a Ryzen 5 6600H. i experience problems with the ingest of 100 GB from CFexpress type B Renaming the files takes about 25 minutes. If I drop the files from the card to the internal SSD, it takes a maximum of 5 minutes. I also noted that the CPU utilization, even when all is imported, sometimes goes to 75–90% while I'm not doing anything with PM. Taggin images in batches can sometimes lead to a lockup of PM with high CPU utilization. Its very strange, and sometimes it's not possible to reproduce. I use a Sabrent card reader, which can easily do 1000–1300 Mb/s.  I changed five years ago to PM because it was so fast, but now I have a lot of problems. I switched from mac to Windows because i had issues with the import on a apple silicon Macbooks. Now i have a windows machine and after a few updates i got the same problems.
