No catalogs

OK, I give up.  My external drive which contains both my photo collection (IMAGES ARCHIVES New) and the PM+ Catalog for them shows all the catalogs, but when I select Catalog in PM+, nothing opens in the window although the catalogs are checked.  Then I go to"Find Catalog" and all the catalogs are greyed out so I cannot select one.  Then I go back to the window on the External disk and they are also greyed out there.  PM+ Will not let me create a new catalog.  What is going on.  Hope the screenshots attached will help me not to panic!! Thanks
