Thumbnails offline disks missing

This question has been asked here many times i'm afraid. Sorry to ask it again ( new user ) : I made catalogues of 4 or 5 HDD's. The thumbnails of 3 of them are visisble when they are offline, from 2 disks not.
What could be wrong ? Thanks, Jeroen ( Amsterdam, the Netherlands )

Your screenshot shows that Photo Mechanic is still in the process of generating some proxies. Did you disconnect the drives that store your images while that task was still in process?

No i did not, this is a new disk from which PMP is generating proxies. Hopefully. The disks that have no thumbnails were ready and then disconnected.

The yellow dots indicate that the images are currently offline.  If they don't have proxies generated then there will be no thumbnail (or preview) to show.  If you bring the two disks back on line, do the yellow dots change to green dots?

Yes, then they turn to green. But with other disks I indexed the proxies are visible offline. So I must be doing something wrong here....
