rename raw+jpeg with same sequence number
« on: June 24, 2024, 12:55:57 PM »
When capturing raw+jpeg and then ingesting with renaming, is it possible for each pair to have the same sequence number (ie SunnyDay_01.RAF and SunnyDay_01.jpg) in order to keep the pairs identifiable? I have only been shooting in raw, but sadly DxO has changed their licensing mid-product to require a sync to their servers every 37 days. That is a show-stopper for me and I have removed all DxO software from my computers. The reason this matters is that I really believe their raw conversion and lens correction is best in class, and so I want in-camera jpegs in case other raw converters lack adequate quality.

thanks

As long as Ingest is set to Ingest both at the same time (in other words, its not set to "Copy RAW Photos only" or "Copy non-RAW photos only") then it will rename the RAW+JPEG pairs on Ingest in tandem.

Okay great. I will go shoot some pairs and try that. I am just beginning to experiment with this workflow..

Thanks
