« on: December 12, 2024, 01:15:55 AM »

if I'm adding a group of folders in the catalog and I've already added before some of that folders Photo Mechanic will duplicate the files or no?

The Catalog references images, it doesn't copy them.  There should be no duplicates.

Thank you Kirk. Another question: I've a folder named 2024 and inside all the folders with my works. I added some new works that I've to add in the catalog. Can I select all the 2024 folder and Photo Mechanic will skip all the photos already added or I've to select manually only the new ones?

I suggest using Catalog Sync: https://docs.camerabits.com/support/solutions/articles/48001161171-catalog-sync
It will make sure your Catalog is up-to-date with your filesystem.
