Fonts Too Small After Update
« on: January 06, 2025, 10:09:46 PM »
I just updated to Photo Mechanic Plus Version 2025.1, build 8239 on an M1 MacBook Pro. One thing I've always liked about PM is that it had a nice size font. After the upgrade, the font is now way too small. The folder names in the sidebar are difficult to read, and I can't even read the IPTC text. There seems to be only one option to increase font size, and that is in the Accessibility Settings and only for the IPTC Description field -- not for any of the other fields.

In short, I'm 70 and I can't use the software due to this change because my eyes are ka-ka these days. How do I revert to the previous version?

Per recommendation in a PM, I have reverted to Photo Mechanic Plus Version 2025.1, build 7955 (966971f), and I'll be staying with it. It's a marginal, yet significant difference for my eyes.

FWIW, the recommendation to go into the Mac Display area and adjust the font does nothing, even after setting the font to 42 points.

Anyway, thanks, and I'll look into changing my subscription to a perpetual license.

We haven't changed font sizes since PM6 was released in 2019 where we made the size of the font used in thumbnail titles larger than they were in PM5.  Could you please share a screen shot that shows the small fonts?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

Thanks,
