Change scroll wheel function to zoom in preview mode

The scroll wheel funtion is useful in contact sheet view, but can be annoying in Preview mode. Specially with my Apple Magic Mouse or Trackpad. I use the arrow keys to switch between pictures.

I would like to turn off the scroll function in Previe Mode, or change it to zoom in and out.

Hi,

The easiest way to disable the scrolling to the next or previous image in the Preview window is to set the Mouse wheel sensitivity down to the lowest setting. This will be done on the Preview preference page. I haven't tested this with a Magic Mouse but it does work with my other mice. There isn't any option to Zoom in or out using the scroll wheel.

Yes, I've tried this before, but this also changes the behavior for the contact sheet scrolling, if I’m not wrong.
There it's okay, but in the preview view i accidentally move quite fast between images.
With this apple magic mouse – too much magic;-)

The Mouse wheel sensitivity slider on the Preview preference page is independent of the Scroll wheel sensitivity slider on the Contact Sheet preference page. When I dropped the slider to the bottom setting on the Preview page, I am still able to scroll through the Contact Sheet without having to adjusting its Scroll wheel sensitivity slider. I will see if I can locate a Magic Mouse to see I am able to recreate your issue with the Contact Sheet scrolling after dropping the Mouse wheel sensitivity slider on the Preview page.

thanks for the info and let me know if you have tried a magic mouse. on my side i will look if my old Logictec mouse is better probably for Photo Mechanic
