I use GPS data a lot for my work, what I do is not event based but location based.
I need to copy GPS data from one image to another lot of other pictures very often, check if GPS data are present and sometimes delete them completely, due to a possible bug that is now discussed with the support team.
I have not found a way to delete GPS data once they are embedded in the metadata, at least not in PM. It is possible in Lightroom, that I hate to use but have for free with the Photoshop subscription, but I hate to sync metadata between PM and LR, but it seems the only way te completely remove GPS metadata other then going to Bridge and don't get me started on that option.
I would much rather prefer to remain working in PM, but I find the GPS functionality a bit limited. Adding data is reasonably ok but copying is not ideal and especially removing GPS data seems impossible.
For me, it would be great if we would have the GPS data field(s) added to the Metadata (IPTC) template and the Metadata info screens. I often have the GPS data & Geolocation data and other Metadata already in one image, why can I not 'copy-paste' that info together with all other fields in the Metadata info screen, like I do with other images when needed. And just add them to a template and insert them that way, again 'in the PM way of doing things'
We do that with all other data, why is GPS approached so different?
