Metadata Template Sharing Between Computers

I have a minimal metadata template saved that I want to share with a coworker. I saved a template and they can open it fine, but they still see all of the default fields that we don't use. We went through manually and made hers match mine but, for future reference, do these setting get saved to a file I can copy between machines? I've attached a screenshot of how the finished metadata template looks.

Just to clarify, I'm not looking for the template that controls what gets filled into the fields, I am looking for what controls which fields are visible and active.

Understood.  You can make a snapshot of your settings and share the snapshot, or you can Export your preferences (choosing only the specific settings you want to share) and then share the .PMX file and have them import those settings.
