Option to suppress the "cannot be edited" pop-up window
« on: March 10, 2025, 09:25:05 AM »
It would be great to be able to suppress (via settings menu/a "don't show this window again" button) the pop-up that appears when you have a non-photo file selected and are trying to apply metadata to a batch of photos. We work on servers a lot with PM and it takes a while for the program to ramp up when applying metadata. There's invariably some hidden system file in the mix and this pop-up waiting to be approved always takes up time from the actual tagging process if we click out of PM and don't see the pop-up. Thanks.

Example of the pop-up in case I'm not being clear:

2 of 949 of the selected photos cannot be captioned because they are in a format that cannot be updated by this version of Photo Mechanic. Would you like to Apply the Metadata (IPTC) Template to the remaining 947 photos?
