I'm a long line Photo Mechanic customer. Photo Mechanic Plus (subscription model) is a wonderful product. It's the start of my workflow and saves me enormous time and allows me to prepare my images in my portfolio so they are easily searchable and contain the essential IPTC information, and therefore future proofed so as clients are looking for specific types of images I can pull them up quickly for their needs/purchase and can show off specific work to get future work. (Yes there's a but coming.)
When Camera Bits moved to the subscription model, while I don't prefer it, I understand the reasons for it, however, with the change, I was under the impression that it would enable more frequent updates than we've had in the past. I really appreciated the update that added Data Mining in October (Really important for my work) and fix for it and the Smug Mug fixes in January. Unfortunately, since January 3, more than three months ago, there haven't been any new updates, but there have been many feature requests.
I was never thinking monthly updates as that's totally unrealistic, but quarterly updates on the subscription model, that's something else. So, I'm hoping that the implied promise of a faster update schedule than the old system had will be fulfilled with the subscription we've purchased.
So, please tell us what the general update plans are. Thanks.
