gstreamer plays videos?
« on: March 18, 2025, 11:55:07 AM »
I am using PM Plus ver 6.0, build 7269 (b13242a), Windows 11 64 bit up to date.
I installed gstreamer for the first time today, the complete version and directed PM Plus to it's location on the C drive.
The mov files show up as thumbnails ok but when double clicked do not play the movie, I see only the full screen shot of the thumbnail.
perhaps I misunderstand the purpose of installing gstreamer?

Gstreamer is just used by Photo Mechanic to display the thumbnails and large previews. To watch the video, just use the e shortcut key to send the video file off to the default video player app on your PC.This is typically Windows Media Player. When you are done viewing the video, use the Alt-Tab shortcut to switch back to Photo Mechanic. I hope this helps.

Many thanks for the information Bob, I'm going to make note of and try those shortcuts.
