Recent IPTC Metadata Fields, how to disable?
« on: April 09, 2025, 11:23:10 AM »
Hi Photo Mechanic team,

I'm using Photo Mechanic 2025.1 (build 8239) and noticed that recently used IPTC field entries are now appearing as suggestions when filling out metadata. While I understand this can be helpful in some workflows, I find it distracting and would prefer to disable this feature entirely.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask for this request: Is it currently possible to disable this option? If not, would it be possible to consider adding a setting in the preferences to turn it off or at least clear the recent IPTC field history?

Thank you for your great work, and looking forward to your response :)

Best regards,
A.

The next build of Photo Mechanic 2025 (Intel-only and Universal) will provide a checkbox that you can turn off that will disable this feature.
