Images Not Showing in Contact Sheet

Hello!  I am a recent convert to PM and absolutely love it.  However, many times I have an issue where it is not showing all the files in the folder selected.  I read some other forum topics but they did not help.  At the bottom left of the contact sheet, it shows something like "Selected 0 of 5873 (0.0MB)  47 + 5873 =5,873 MB 5920 total. 0 Unknown.  I cannot seem to find these other 47 images.  No sort criteria turned on, Combined images and unknown files turned on.  Tried sorting by all options - filename, capture time, etc.  Please help.

Sounds like you have some RAW files pairing up with some JPEG files but you have many more JPEGs (or other non-RAW files) than you have RAW files in the folder.  I take it that you have the View->Combined Images setting on?  You can turn that off and you'll see the missing images.

Thank you Kirk!  I tried to toggle the Combined Image Setting and it didn't make any difference.  And yes, almost all were JPG with a few RAW (which I am assuming are the 47 not showing up).

It's probably the XMP sidecar files for the RAW files.

The first number is the number of RAW files (47)
The second number is the number of JPEGs and XMP files 5873.

So you likely have: 47 RAW files, 47 XMP files, and 5826 JPEGs.

47 Raws + 5826 JPEGs = 5873 items on the Contact Sheet this is the 5873 in the "Selected 0 of 5873 (0.0MB)"
5873 Contact Sheet items + 47 XMP files = 5920 items in the folder.

Thank you.  Sound like there is no need for me to go chase XMP files.
