New to PM and loving it.

I'm learning and using the Jeff Vogan/Camera Bits style of having a snapshot, loading the appropriate template, filling it out according to that event, and then applying it.

I have this urge to save the event-specific applied IPTC template with the specific event info already collected (forms, contact details, expenses, etc.).  But, I am doing this out of innocence.   In the back of my mind there might be some legal reason or file finding reason or something though it's not based on experience or actual justification.

My question to you is:  Do you save you IPTC templates for any reason?  What about hot code/code replacement files per event?

Yes, I save everything with each shoot: IPTC metadata files, Code Replacement files, and Hot Code files.  I also run batch scripts to save file names and captions for photos I sent on deadline.  The main reason is I can use them as starting points for future shoots, which I do often.

Thank you.  That makes a lot of sense both for client relations and mindset/workflow.  I hadn't thought about those reasons.
