Colors Changes unexpectidly

Hello,

I’m using Photo Mechanic 6 (version 6.0, build 7269 b13242a) on macOS Sequoia. I’ve relied on PM for the past 15 years to select my Canon RAW files. Since upgrading to Sequoia, I’ve noticed some strange color shifts in the previews, both on the contact sheet and in full screen. Photos from the same series—shot in the same place, under the same lighting and settings—sometimes look dull or desaturated.

Oddly, if I zoom in on a preview, the colors return to normal.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

• Cleared the cache (Preferences > Caching)
• In Preferences >
   Color Management, enabled:
  Color manage thumbnails for display
  Color manage previews for display
  Embed ICC profile in previews

Let me know what you think. It’s not critical, but it is pretty annoying.

The issue that we're talking about is color management issues with PM6.  Not the 2025.x Universal Binary Photo Mechanic version (the one that has a current Release Candidate/Beta build available). Were you having the color management issue with PM6 build 7269?

We understand that some people were trying the two different versions without deleting their cache on exit, which would definitely cause issues with images that had been viewed recently.  But this user did not mention use of the 2025.x editions.

Yes the color management bug I reported was relating to Photo Mechanic 6, build 7269.

Since the current beta fixes the Deselect (D) in Preview bug I've upgraded to the new version, which doesn't have the colour management issue.
