Color Class - LR & PM

I moved to a new PC - I think I've set up the preferences for XMP & color classes BUT when I ingest to LR - no colors show BUT if I edit a color on either LR or PM AFTER Ingest to LR  they are seen by the other.
any ideas?

Do you have Lightroom applying metadata to images upon import?

No - that I know of ! Apply durning import has 2 settings both are set as none.
