Each time, I pressed the ESC key because the screen went black and nothing happened. When I click on the box with the mouse, nothing happens. I can't close it, move it, or minimize it. The only thing that works is the ESC key.

OK, thank you for the additional information.  I'm adding more logging code and I'll send you a personal message with a link to the new build.  Hopefully it won't take more than another iteration or two before I'll have a fix for the problem.

I've sent you another build link.  If you're having trouble editing the PMDebug.txt file, I have attached an updated one which you can download and replace using my earlier instructions.

Thanks,

Thanks for the updated build link. ⌘⌫ is now working again – thanks for that. However, the slideshow still isn’t working.

What scaling settings are you using for your displays?  Please take a screenshot of the Displays section of the System Settings on your system.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

What kind of images do you have selected to show in the Slide Show?  What is the pixel width and height of the images, especially the first one?

Thanks,

-Kirk

I selected different types of images, some small ones with a resolution of 1.4 to 2.0 megapixels and an edge length of 1600 pixels, as well as images from my R5 with over 40 megapixels. Neither had any effect on the slideshow. I also changed the resolution on both monitors for testing purposes, but that didn’t have any impact on the slideshow functionality either.

Thank you.  Could you also post a screenshot of your Slide Show dialog, so I can see what your settings are?

Thanks,

From what I can tell, the Slide Show is running properly.  I've updated the underlying library to a newer version in the hope that it will solve your problem.

I'll be sending you another build link soon.

No, unfortunately the slideshow still doesn’t work. I continue to get a black screen and the dialog box, which can only be closed using the ESC key. As I mentioned before, I don’t feel comfortable having you spend your time and resources on my issue. I can manage just fine without the slideshow on the Mac Studio.

OK.  I'm thinking this is a unicorn issue.  If others have similar problems (we haven't heard of any like your situation through our tech support) then I'll revisit.

One question: Are you able to make PM's Contact Sheet or Preview windows enter Full Screen mode on your Apple Studio M4 Max?  View->Enter Full Screen

Thanks,

Yes, that’s no problem at all.
