Pasting into Name Fields with Clipy
« on: July 01, 2025, 12:25:27 PM »
I am running PM 6 build 7285 on Mac OS 14.7.5.
A big part of our workflow involves renaming folders and files. Using the OS copy and paste works as expected in these name fields. However, when I paste with Clipy it just deactivates the name field I am trying to paste into. I have tried Clipy in Photoshop, Edge, and also the finder and it pastes just fine. It also pastes fine into metadata fields in PM, it's only the name fields that don't seem to be working properly. I'm wondering if there is a setting I can change, or if this can be addressed in a future update.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Please provide a URL for where we can obtain "Clipy" and we can look into it.  That said, PM 6 has reached its end of life and we would be fixing the issue in Photo Mechanic 2025.

Here's the URL for Clipy - https://github.com/Clipy/Clipy/releases/tag/1.2.1

We'll be updating to the new version soon.
