missing files in Collections?

I've had a number of disk & folder changes recently and just did a Catalog Sync which produced 9082 Files Missing. I seem to recall that there's a way of creating a Collection showing Files Missing in previous Catalog Syncs but I can't seem to replicate that. What's the best way of browsing all the Files Missing?

I went back to really old posts on similar topics, and on the Catalog Sync dialog box with the catalog in question selected, under Automatic Collections to Create, I've already checked New files added to catalog and Files missing from last known location on disk. But where do I find those Collections? In the Collections sidebar for the Catalog in question, nothing shows up. Am I in the wrong place or something?

They appear as sub collections of the -sync- collection, which appears under the name of the catalog the images were part of in the Collections tab

My Default Catalog fails to open, and when I do a collection for By Location (my largest catalog) nothing appears. How might I activate the -sync- sub-collection? I had it before, but not after my recent disk changes.

It gets created when you do a sync and you have one or more of the 3 'Automatic collections' checked and it has images to place into one of those collections.

Did you 'disk changes' involve changing the name of the disk? Because if so, those files would go into the 'Files offline because volume not mounted' collection.
