Nudging crops using my "arrow keys" + the option key (MacOS) is not working.

Is there any possible reason for this?

Yes.  When adding the ability to customize keyboard shortcuts moving in zoom mode interfered with also nudging a crop.  You can make them back to Option arrows (they're now Control arrows) if you like, but you'll have to change the zoom ones (clear them out or pick new unused ones) first.  Go to the Keyboard Shortcuts page in the Settings (formerly Preferences) dialog to review and change them.
