Arrengement Order

I take photos with two cameras and when importing the photos, I automatically change the file names to the time they were taken. This ensures that the photos are sorted alphabetically and chronologically in the correct order.
However, there is now a problem that I do not understand: if I change the sort order to ‘Arrangement’, the entire sort order changes and the photos are no longer sorted by file name. Is there any way I can prevent this?

Sure.  Make an arrangement first from the order they're already in before you switch to Arrangement sort.
