Ingest Amending Destination Folder
« on: October 26, 2025, 10:52:12 AM »
I would like to be able to update the destination folder so that it has YYYY/YYYY-MM-DD added. I can't find any notes on how to do this, although in the ingest notes it does say that it is possible to change the default YYYYMMDD.. Any help gratefully received

For your case you would use:

{year4}/{year4}{month0}{day0}

...in the Folder Name field

Hi,
Thank you for the response.
Within the ingest pop up, the destination folder is not a field that I can overwrite, so all I can do is select a folder that already exists.
The same is true for the secondary destination folder.
As I am unable to type into the folder name field, I am unable to use variables.
TIA

Change the 'Copy Photos' Dropdown to "Into Folder with Name" and then follow Kirk's suggestion.

A follow on question.. if that's ok.. (Or should I raise another thread)

It is now ingesting my files from the SD Card.. however.

It is copying the raw file and jpeg and then it is duplicating the raw and jpeg with "A" appended to the filename.

e.g.  DSC07551.ARW & DSC07551A.ARW
DSC07551.jpg & DSC07551A.jpg

Is there a setting somewhere that I have changed that causes this particular 'feature'?

Did a file without the 'A' appended to it exist at the destination before the one with the 'A' arrived?

Ahh, it is still ingesting and yes I had already copied the files prior to ingesting them, so the file already existed..

Thank you once again..
