After a search, group all selected files together
« on: November 08, 2025, 11:30:36 AM »
After a do a search for a keyword (for example a species name) all the files with that term are selected, but they remain scattered by their current sort order. This is not that useful since as soon as I select one all the selected files are unselected. A sort order of "selected" or some other method to group them together for viewing and comparison would be very helpful.

If possible I'd appreciate learning how, if not can this be made a feature request?

Photo Mechanic Version 6.0, build 7285 (fb3e520)
Mac OS Sonoma
Macbook M1 Pro

You can manually view by Selected in the Contact Sheet's toolbar (the popup menu usually says "All").

Recently we added a feature to Photo Mechanic 2025 that will do this for you automatically when Find results match your criteria.

Thank you Kirk, seems so simple but I never knew. Also, sounds like another good reason to update.
