lost my spell check while typing feature in Photo Mechanic 6

Hello,
I recently lost my Check Spelling While Typing feature in Photo Mechanic Version 6.0, build 7285 (fb3e520), actually lost all spell check features in PM. I am currently running Mac OS Tahoe 26.1 Any thoughts on how to get this feature working again?

No. The other user never followed up by email, and it continues to work as expected for us (we tested on both MacOS Ventura 13.6 and MacOS Tahoe 26.1 and 26.2).

Have you checked that "Check spelling of Caption field as you type" is enabled in the Contact Sheet section of Preferences?

What fields are you typing in? The Caption field in the Metadata Info/Metadata Template windows? Or other fields?

I'm typing in the caption field, keyword field, headline field and persons shown. If I have the template open, and click Edit->Spelling->Check Spelling it brings up the errors. But, if I click on Check spelling when typing, no errors appear. Same if I right click the field, and go to "Spelling and Grammar", "Correct Spelling automatically" is checked, but no errors appear and it won't allow me to switch to any of the other options

Sorry, but I don't know what else to suggest. Fields other than the Caption field need to have spell checking manually enabled each time the window opens and have always worked that way as far as I know (just tested on one of the first builds of Photo Mechanic 6 on MacOS Ventura), and we haven't made any changes that should impact how the spell checking works.
