Combined Images
« on: December 17, 2025, 05:35:22 PM »
I'm having trouble with a folder filled with raw+jpg from 3 cameras from 1 shoot. PM6, build 7285.  Following a typical protocol for a client, I'm downloading jpgs only on site on a desktop to a jump drive and after getting home to the desk top, copying the jump drive to an external drive.  I then download the raw on the desktop to the same folder as the jpgs.  Then I go through and edit, with a fair amount of file renaming on the process (player numbers become the file names so I can make a batch application to load code replacement names to the files.)

After working with various folders from different games, 1 folder now has a mix of images that no longer combine to raw +jpg, but some do. Files that did not change names combine.  Files that were renamed via combination now have the same names save for the extension but do not combine.  With the vast amount of metadata I still need to input, I would like the files to be combined.

Along those lines, is there a way to batch copy iptc data from the jpg to the raw for combined images but only for the combined images?

Thanks,

bRuce

Hi Bruce, could you upload a few screenshots and any other details so I can get a clearer view of the issue? Alex

This should show it with the images marked by the #8 black combined and the others are not but are the raw + jpg.

I think I see what happened. I must have accidentally had the "combined" off during a renaming and it named the raw + jpg sequentially instead of identically. Restoring original names and then renaming as combined. My mistakes can be such time holes.
