Are the two compatible?

There is a minor cosmetic issue when doing inline renaming on the Contact Sheet. Other than that, Photo Mechanic 6 continues to function on macOS Tahoe. As time goes on an Apple makes changes to their operating system and APIs, OS updates will certainly cause more issues with the old version of Photo Mechanic.

I'm encountering a 2nd cosmetic issue with the Catalog module as it appears to "shrink".  This is new since 26.2.  All other functionality seems to work at this time.  All suggestions are welcome.

It is a known issue with Photo Mechanic Plus. I didn't mention it because you only mentioned Photo Mechanic 6, not Photo Mechanic Plus: https://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=16954.0

Hey Guys!

I’m seeing two additional issues with Photo Mechanic 6 (Build 7285) on macOS Tahoe that seem more severe than the minor cosmetic glitches mentioned here:

**1) “Save As” fails from Catalog / Collections**

* Error: *“There were errors during the Save As operation.”*
* Reproducible when saving images opened from a Catalog/Collection
* Happens even when saving to Desktop, with simple filenames, and with full disk access granted
* Does **not** occur when opening the same files directly from Finder (outside the Catalog)
→ This points to a Catalog-specific issue rather than permissions or filesystem problems

**2) Retina display rendering glitch in Catalog UI**

* The Catalog/Collections panel shows graphical corruption or misrendering on the internal Retina display
* The issue does **not** appear on an external non-Retina display
* Disabling GPU acceleration via defaults had no effect

Additional notes:

* Catalog maintenance (optimize, reindex) did not resolve the issue
* Restart and permission resets had no effect
* The two issues appeared after updating to macOS Tahoe

Given that both issues affect Catalog-related functionality, this may indicate a deeper incompatibility between PM6 and Tahoe in the Catalog module (possibly related to rendering or proxy handling).

Would be helpful to know if others can reproduce this specifically with PM6 (not just Plus), especially the Save As failure from Catalog.
Working since 2012 on https://www.mut-tour.de: As Initiator and "art director" I deal a lot with my and other photographers images and am happy to leave fuggin' Adobe's subscription trap. Hoping camera bits guys keep on programming.

Photo Mechanic 6 doesn't include any of the Catalog features, and the two issues you're referring to are specific to Catalog features, so I'm not sure how they could happen in Photo Mechanic 6.

Issue 1: We cannot reproduce this issue and have had no other reports of it. I'm not sure how it could be an issue specific to viewing a collection. Does it not happen when you are in a Browse, Search, or Filter tab?  Your log file might have more information.

Issue 2: Yes, this a known issue (as I stated in my post above yours in reply to an earlier post in the thread)
