Ability to show invisible characters in caption box
« on: January 31, 2026, 05:12:07 PM »
I'd love the ability to show invisible characters, like can be enabled in a word processor or text editor, in the caption box.

This would help avoid accidental entry of double spaces which can easily happen, with no way to tell visually, at right edge of the caption box when the line wraps.

Looks like this was also requested back in 2008.

I agree that highlighting double spaces would be a useful feature.

100%.  A double-space indicator would be invaluable.  On a broader note, restructuring the IPTC Info screen so that the caption is displayed as wider sentences vs. the present narrow box would save me time and aggravation.

And maybe a way to delete the extra space which could if you, like me, sometimes use empty code replacements which adds a space.

Thanks.

Oh, being able to have the caption box span across both columns of the IPTC Stationary Pad would be excellent!
