Hello Everyone,
We are pleased to announce an update to the Photo Mechanic All-in-One application for macOS (Universal-Binary) and Windows. This new build addresses a number of issues present in the 8858 build.
On macOS, this build of Photo Mechanic requires macOS Ventura or higher. If you are using a Mac with macOS Monterey or older, you will need to upgrade to macOS Ventura or higher to use Photo Mechanic. This version of Photo Mechanic is written for both Intel-based and Apple Silicon-based Mac computers.
On Windows, this build of Photo Mechanic requires Windows 10 or higher. If you are using a Windows PC with Windows 8.1 or older, you will need to upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11.
This release is for current Monthly and Annual subscribers to Photo Mechanic or Photo Mechanic Plus, as well as those who purchased a perpetual license for either of those within the last twelve months.

Both:
• Added: If WebP has Exif rotation then allow soft rotation.
• Added: Ability to enable/disable Code Replacement files without having to add/remove them.
• Added: Hold Option (macOS) or Shift (Windows) on the Ingest window to reveal an option to hide a volume from the source list.
• Added: Snapshots for customizable keyboard shortcuts. Note that these are ‘overlays’ in that only customizations are saved in the snapshots and when restored, only overwrite shortcuts that were recorded in the snapshot. You can apply more than one snapshot this way and build an overall customized set (which can also be saved as a snapshot.) This is different from how snapshots work in other parts of Photo Mechanic which save/restore all settings of the UI.
• Added: SmugMug, Box and Zenfolio uploaders now have the ability to auto select the new folder/gallery after creation.
• Added: Removed a special case for not erasing cards from Sony A1 after Ingest.
• Added: New {fps} variable for displaying frames/second in video files
• Added: For video files {quality} now displays video codec, and {lenstype} now displays lens information
• Added: Can now update movie header creation time via Adjust Capture Times.
• Added: SmugMug uploader, allow video file uploads without needing RAW Storage enabled.
• Fixed: Crop is wrong after lossless JPEG rotation.
• Fixed: IPTC Time Created GMT offset changed to local GMT for any metadata updates.
• Fixed: When creating the first folder/gallery in the SmugMug uploader it isn't automatically listed in the column browser.
• Fixed: JFIF created by macOS Photos appears as black thumbnail and preview.
• Fixed: Contextual menus display 5 stars for all star rating options.
• Fixed: Incorrect width and height for Sony MP4 movie.
• Fixed: Saving rotated photos as WebP not clearing Exif rotation.
• Fixed: XMP sidecar not carried forward to clipped video.
• Fixed: When exporting a movie clip, PM now updates the movie’s creation date/time in the movie header.
• Fixed: When GMT delta is negative and not a full hour, it gets rounded to wrong minutes.
• Fixed: Images with an odd number of pixels in a dimension do not display as cropped in Slideshow.
• Fixed: {tmn} variable does not evaluate.
• Fixed: Selecting 'Restore Defaults' in Settings>IPTC/XMP sets incorrect default for 'Add embedded IPTC (XMP will always be written)'.
• Fixed: Color edit information saved in XMP sidecar file not applied to new render when using Adobe DNG Converter as RAW Renderer (CR3 files only had the issue).
• Fixed: SFTP uploader hangs when closing a connection to some servers.
macOS:
• Added: Option for colorful icons in Navigator and Favorites.
• Added: Customizable shortcut for AirDrop in Contact Sheet.
• Fixed: Copy command from Preview window Info Text does not copy selected text.
• Fixed: First image of Slideshow is scaled down when 'render text' is enabled.
• Fixed: Text cursor not showing when doing inline rename with Light UI theme.
• Fixed: Blank Preview window opens on Spacebar press in Untitled, blank Contact Sheet.
Windows:
• Added: Rendering of CR3 Previews shot in PQ mode via Windows Imaging Components. You may need to add components on your PC (usually free) from the Microsoft App Store. Search for “Image Extension”. RAW Image Extension is required. There are other extensions that may be useful in the future (WebP, JPEG XL, HEIF, AV1, Web Media).
• Fixed: Rendering with Adobe DNG converter crashes Photo Mechanic when images have large XMP files.
• Fixed: Rendering with Adobe DNG converter only renders RAW when embedded JPEG previews are small.
