Errors when using Incremental Injest
« on: March 09, 2026, 12:00:44 PM »
I am having an issue when using incremental injest and getting the following error on some (not all) of my Sony ToughG V90 SD cards to my MacBook Pro. PM is allowing duplicate images to be injested and then appending them with an "A", "B", "C", etc. This error isn't happening on all cards I try to injest, only some of them. I searched the forums for a similar issue, but only found very old posts about it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have another 15 games of NCAA basketball to shoot starting tomorrow (Tues, Mar 10).

PM version: 2026.2, build 9034 (cae492s)
MacBook Pro: 14-inch, 2024, Apple M4 chip, 24gb RAM, running macOS Tahoe 26.3.1

What tests have you done to ensure that the drive is not read-only, as the error message suggests?

These have all been with Sony ToughG V90 SD cards, which do not have the little 'read/write' switch on the side as some SD cards do. And this seems to have only started happening after I updated PM to the latest version. And I'm logged into my MacBook pro as admin (it's the only login I have for it, and I'm the only one that ever uses it).

Does that help?

Have you tried to write something to the memory card from your computer, or looked at its info in Finder or Disk Utility to see if it is actually appearing to be read-only to your computer?

Yes. I tried writing to these cards it using my Macbook pro, and it writes fine. Also, when using the finder to view info, it shows "you have custom access" under the read/write area.

This issue seems to be only happening with cards formatted in my Sony A1 body, so maybe the issue is with the in-camera formatting there - haven't had time to research that yet, as I've had 3 days of 4 games each day and moving a bazillion images. If you have any info on this happening specifically to the Sony A1 and formatting cards, that would be very helpful!
