Copy Keyword Selection to External drive
« on: June 29, 2026, 01:46:59 PM »
Kirk suggested using the Copy/Move feature in PM+ rather than drag & drop copy a selection from a keyword search. I tried that and ended up with the attached or similar error messages.  I kept trying variations and ended up with what appeared like deleting the pictures (Those pictures were missing from the originals on a connected external disk.  A global search indicated they did not exist, but I found them in the trash (which usually includes the search results in global find, I believe).

Since everything I tried resulted in an error message, I tried the old way of dag & drop to copy the found images originals from the external disk containing the originals, to a desktop folder, and that does not work now!  Can you suggest how to set up the copy/move photos feature to just COPY a found a selection from a keyword search to another disk, folder or any location but the trash?!!  Thanks

I am still using Mac Tahoe OS (26.4.1) as I am afraid to upgrade to ".2, & find more incompatibilities!!

The source files of the images in your screenshot are not currently available (as indicated by the yellow dot).

The files are either on a drive that is not currently connected, or their path was changed (either moved from the location where they were catalogued or a component of their path was modified). Fix that, and the images will show green dots indicating that the files are available, and the error should stop happening
