Additional anchor points when cropping
« on: August 12, 2026, 01:22:49 PM »
Currently, in PM, I can only increase the size of a crop window by grabbing one of the anchor points in each corner. In Lightroom, I can grab either a corner or any of the sides. It would be faster to get the crop I want by grabbing the side rather than a corner and the reposition.

Hi Jeff,

When I place my cursor over anywhere on the edges of the crop marquee, I can drag that edge. Is this not working for you?

I can drag the crop box to move it. I want to resize it. To resize, I have to grab one of the green boxes on the corners of the crop area. I want to, like I can in Lightroom, grab the anchor points on the sides to resize.

I understand the request, the discrepancy is that I was not using a constrained crop. Once I changed that setting, I get the behavior you describe.

I remember I asked for this some years ago. Strange there isn't still this option in an app used daily by photojournalist who need to be fast, so to crop fast.
It's not a strange request, this option will increase the possibility to be more fast during the crop.

Best,
