SCREEN FLICKER
« on: August 13, 2026, 05:52:41 AM »
When I update keywords, titles etc and/or change the tag on an image after going from PM to another process it often starts flickering and blanking the images and I have to close and restart PM.  Fortunately no harm is done to the files but this is a nuisance.

Attached if the PM data, MAC data and a screen recording of what takes place in PM. Hope this is a fixable issue. As you can see on the screen recording this is a fairly large image file, 3 GB, if that matters.

Thx - Bob

BTW - I have to Force Quit PM

Normally its due to you having used some app optimizing your computer (that is what is happened to me). I used Cleanmymac.

Just download a new version and you should fine again.

Downloading it again is not a permanent solution on its own. You need to go into CleanMyMac's settings and tell it to stop deleting files in the Photo Mechanic application package, or else it is going to just do it again.
