Speed up contact sheet printing

Is there a way to speed up the process of printing contact sheets?  The spooling seems to take way to long.

What OS are you running?
Do you have "Use printer scaling" on or off?

I am using Vista and yes I have use printer scaling checked.

I am using Vista and yes I have use printer scaling checked.

Try turning it off.  Full size images are sent to the printer when that checkbox is checked.  Now PM will pre-scale the images to the printed size before spooling them.  You can also use the Resolution popup to reduce the DPI which will also speed things up at the cost of (possibly) lower quality output.
