No, there is no way to do that.

To clarify, in case it makes a difference, I wanted to be able to edit a job other than the job being burned to disc...could that work?

No, not currently.  If we wanted to do such a thing, it would be better for the feature to be spun off into another process separate from the Photo Mechanic application.  We may do that in the future but it is not currently scheduled for implementation.
