Dual IPTC Caption Deletion

When editing IPTC captions would it be possible to have a preference that when you save the new caption, the editor can also delete a second caption if it exists.. as we are finding that some applications are reading the wrong caption.

It is likely that they are reading the EXIF description tag.  We currently don't edit that tag.
