playing sound files
« on: January 04, 2008, 07:30:01 AM »
Hello,

When I play a sound file in Photo Mechanic the sound quality is extremely poor and barely understandable. Is there a way to tell PM to use an external program like Quick Time to play sound files? The same wav file sounds excellent with Quick Time.

Thanks,

Marketa

No there is no way to do that.

What sample rate is the WAV file that you're trying to play?  In QuickTime you can show the Info panel to see this information.

I could not find the info panel in Quick Time. I did come up with a workaround for this problem: use the Go to Windows Explorer command and then I can play the wav file with Quick Time. It makes a huge difference. At least I don't have to open another program just to play the sound files.
